Join us for the SUN Continuing Education Series on February 21 as we welcome Dr. Elizabeth McIngvale of the Peace of Mind Foundation presenting, OCD & Anxiety Training: OCD 101.

The Peace of Mind Foundation, founded by Elizabeth McIngvale, Ph.D., offers an OCD 101 Training to school districts, mental health organizations and businesses interested in learning more about Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). This training will help equip you or your staff to better identify and provide appropriate resources to individuals suffering from OCD, anxiety and related mental health disorders, which are prevalent in many individuals’ lives. The Peace of Mind Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life of OCD and mental health sufferers and caregivers through research, education, advocacy and support.

Dr. Elizabeth McIngvale’s clinical interests focus on OCD, anxiety disorders, mental health stigma and access to mental health care. Dr. McIngvale maintains an active clinical, research and leadership role as the co-director of the Houston OCD Program. She is the founder of the Peace of Mind Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to OCD. She was the first ever national spokesperson for the International Obsessive-Compulsive Foundation where she now serves on the board of directors. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Loyola University Chicago, her Ph.D. in social work from the University of Houston and is currently pursuing her MBA from the Kellogg School of Business Management at Northwestern University. She is a renowned speaker on both local and national levels speaking on behalf of OCD, mental illness and mental health stigma. Dr. McIngvale is dedicated to giving a voice to the voiceless and is grateful for a career that allows her to improve the lives of those living with a mental illness every day.
