Virtual Continuing Education Course

In partnership with Nemeth Counseling, we invite you to attend our free Virtual Continuing Education Course focusing on Engaging Children and Families in Counseling

The Program:

Engaging Children and Families in Counseling training will discuss different ways counselors can encourage children and families to understand important mental health interventions and implement tools to address concerns. This training will also discuss different techniques counselors can use when working with children and families that will help encourage client’s engagement and commitment to attaining treatment goals. Some specific objectives addressed at this training will be developmental stages and counseling, general tips working with children, common problems seen with children/families, working with children’s support systems and video counseling with children.

Kara Bradley has worked with children and families for over 3 years providing counseling services. Kara started doing community-based services in the city of Columbus for 2 years and has now been working as an outpatient therapist at Nemeth for 1 year. Through various training and experience, Kara has learned different ways to help engage children and their families in counseling in order to improve treatment.

This CE will take place virtually via the Zoom app. Once all attendees have registered, we will email a meeting link.
