About Us
Help When You Need It
Access alone is not enough.
At SUN, we’ve built four hospitals from the ground up to respond to urgent behavioral health needs in our communities. These facilities have provided lifesaving care to thousands while easing the burden on emergency rooms, first responders, schools, and other strained systems.
Yet we know that many individuals only find help when they are in crisis. Through our community-based agencies, we’ve seen the impact of sustained, personalized care—and we are committed to bringing that same level of support to patients before, during, and after hospitalization.
In regions where our hospitals and community services overlap, we are redesigning the model of care to support patients not just for days or weeks, but across months and years. For those with the most complex needs, we aim to build trust, foster lasting engagement, and promote recovery in the least restrictive setting possible.
Our hospitals remain a vital part of the behavioral health continuum. But crisis should not be the only point of entry. By strengthening connections across care settings, we are working to break the cycle of repeated crises and support long-term recovery for every patient we serve.
